The meeting pod — a meeting room without the building work

A meeting pod is a free-standing, soundproof capsule for two to four people that simply stands on your office floor. It solves a problem almost every company knows: the big meeting rooms are booked solid — usually by two people talking for half an hour — while the quick face-to-face gets pushed into the kitchen or the stairwell. The pod gives each conversation exactly the space it needs: the Duet for the one-to-one, the Quartet for the team meeting. It arrives as furniture and is working within hours, with no partitions and no approvals — a socket is enough.

Four reasons for a meeting booth instead of another meeting room

Meeting rooms are expensive, immovable and still fully booked. Four reasons a meeting booth solves the problem faster than any renovation.

The conversation stays in the room

Salaries, exits, feedback on a candidate: inside the meeting pod the discussion stays between the people in it. A metre from the door, nobody makes out a word.

Everyone hears everyone, remote included

With the background hum of the open floor gone, the conference mic picks up only the voices at the table. Hybrid meetings on Teams or Zoom run without "sorry, can you repeat that?".

One more meeting room, no permits

The pod goes up in 2–3 hours on any free floor space: no partition walls, no dust, no planning approval. All it needs is a 220 V socket nearby.

It follows the floor plan, not the other way round

Teams grow and layouts change. A meeting pod can be dismantled, moved and reassembled elsewhere — a built meeting room cannot.

Insulation up to 35 dB: how the meeting pod works

The sound insulation comes from multi-layer panels that absorb outside noise and keep the conversation from leaking out. The level depends on the model — 25 dB on Lite, up to 35 dB on Premium. For interviews, HR topics and confidential syncs, 35 dB is the right choice: colleagues around you can hear that a conversation is happening, but not what it is about.

Duet Lite / Quartet Lite
25dB

Absorbs speech noise and the chatter around it — the right balance of quiet and price for dailies, stand-ups and short syncs.

Duet / Quartet Premium
up to 35dB

Insulation certified to ISO 11957 and ISO 23351-1 Class A: a metre from the door the meeting is no longer intelligible. This is the level for HR topics, salaries and contract talks.

Common questions about meeting pods for offices

A meeting pod is a soundproof capsule with a table and seats for 2–4 people that stands free on the office floor — for client negotiations, team syncs, interviews and group video calls. People also call it a meeting booth, a meeting box or a modular meeting room. It replaces a small meeting room without anyone having to build one.

A room means renovation, approvals and months of work; a pod is modular furniture assembled in 2–3 hours with no dust and no permits. It also unclogs the calendar: short meetings go into the pod without a booking, leaving the rooms free for larger sessions. And when you relocate, the pod comes with you.

The Duet seats 2 — one-to-ones, feedback sessions and recruitment interviews. The Quartet seats up to 4 around a shared table, for dailies, sprint plannings and team syncs. If you need more seats, we build a Custom pod to your own dimensions.

Not in the Premium series: Duet and Quartet cut sound by up to 35 dB, with insulation certified to ISO 11957 and ISO 23351-1 Class A, and a metre from the door the conversation is already unintelligible. That keeps salary reviews, HR topics and contract talks private. The Lite models give 25 dB, muffling speech for everyday syncs.

No. Every Silentbox has SMART ventilation built in: it changes the air completely every 2–3 minutes with fan noise below 30 dB, so it never intrudes on the conversation. With four people and a long meeting, that is exactly where a pod pulls away from a plain glass booth.

Yes — it is one of the core use cases. Certified 35 dB insulation keeps open-plan noise outside, so the conference microphone picks up only the voices at the table, not the conversations around you. Screens, cameras and laptops run off the 220 V socket with USB and Type-C inside, under LED lighting.

It depends on size and class: the Duet Lite is the accessible entry point for a conversation between two, while the Quartet Premium is the certified 35 dB pod for daily team meetings. Current prices for every model are in the catalogue above; if you're ready to buy, we'll put together an individual quote within one working day.

No. The pod goes up in 2–3 hours — no drilling, no dust, no construction permits. All it needs is a 220 V socket nearby; ventilation, LED lighting and the sockets at the table are already built in.

The Duet takes about the space of a small double desk, the Quartet that of a room for four. The pods are sized for the standard goods lifts and doorways of office buildings, so they can be taken up to the higher floors. Exact dimensions for the model you choose come with your quote.

Yes. We deliver and install in more than 30 countries across Europe, the UK included — the pod arrives in your city and goes up in 2–3 hours with no building work. Production takes 3–4 weeks, and a quote including delivery is ready within one working day.

Up to 10 years, split by component: 10 years on the structure and frame, 5 years on electronics and lighting, 3 years on moving parts and ventilation. The pod can also be dismantled and reassembled at a new address when the office moves.
