The soundproof booth — quiet as a measured figure

A soundproof booth is a free-standing, acoustically insulated room built from multi-layer panels and triple laminated glass that stands in the middle of your office. What separates it from an ordinary partitioned corner is that its insulation has been measured. 25 dB across the Lite range takes the edge off open-plan chatter for everyday calls; 35 dB on the Premium models makes a conversation unintelligible a metre from the door, certified to ISO 11957; and made-to-order builds reach up to 45 dB. Assembly takes about two hours: no construction, no permits, one 220 V socket and the booth is working.

Four reasons to put a silent booth on your floor

Anyone buying acoustic insulation wants numbers rather than adjectives. Four reasons the measured figure is what makes the difference.

Measured decibels, not adjectives

Every soundproof booth carries a figure you can check: 25 dB across the Lite range, 35 dB on Premium to ISO 11957, up to 45 dB on Custom builds. What you buy is a test result, not a claim in a brochure.

The conversation stays inside

Multi-layer panels and triple laminated glass keep the voice where it belongs: stand a metre from the door and a normal conversation is no longer intelligible.

Installed in about two hours

The booth goes up in roughly two hours — no drilling, no dust, no permits. A 220 V socket is all it needs, and the cabin is ready to use the same day.

It moves when your office does

The booth can be taken apart, transported and reassembled at the new address — and the measured insulation comes with it, unchanged.

25, 35 or 45 dB: how much insulation you need

The insulation of a soundproof cabin comes from multi-layer panels that absorb noise from the floor and hold the conversation inside. The figure depends on the model — and every figure is backed by a test report.

Lite range
25dB

25 dB takes the edge off speech noise and open-plan chatter — the sensible choice for everyday calls and focused work.

Premium · ISO 11957
up to 35dB

35 dB, measured and certified: what is said inside the soundproof booth cannot be followed from the office floor, and office noise does not get in.

Custom
up to 45dB

Made-to-order builds reach up to 45 dB — for confidential negotiations, HR conversations and floors with a high background noise level.

Choose your soundproof booth.
Premium at 35 dB, Lite at 25 dB or Custom up to 45 dB.

Measured quiet instead of marketing promises

What soundproof office booths with evidenced figures change on the floor.

Before

Without insulation anyone has measured

  1. 01The brochure says “soundproof” — nobody ever tested it
  2. 02Confidential conversations carry two desks away
  3. 03Video calls pick up the whole floor along with your voice
  4. 04A built room means construction work, permits and weeks of disruption
After

With a measured 25–45 dB

  1. 01Every figure is backed by a test report to ISO 11957
  2. 02A metre from the door the conversation is no longer intelligible
  3. 03The microphone hears you and not the office behind you
  4. 04The booth is standing in hours and simply moves with you

Buying a soundproof booth — in four steps

A transparent process, from the first conversation about decibels to a booth standing on your floor.

01

Consultation

We work out how much insulation your scenario actually needs: 25 dB for everyday calls, 35 dB for confidential conversations, up to 45 dB for the noisiest floors.

02

Quotation

You get a costed proposal with the model, the quantity and delivery to your city — including the measured figures for the model you have chosen.

03

Production

We build the booth in our own factory with a quality check at every stage. Standard lead time is 3–6 weeks.

04

Delivery and installation

We deliver the booth and brief your team on the two-hour assembly; the Silentbox crew can install it for you instead. The insulation figures apply from day one.

Why companies choose Silentbox booths

Common questions about soundproof booths for offices

A soundproof booth — also called a soundproof pod or soundproof cabin — is a free-standing room built from multi-layer insulating panels and laminated glass that blocks sound in both directions: the conversation inside does not reach the floor, and office noise does not reach you. The insulation is measured in decibels and can be evidenced with a test report.

25 dB across the Lite range and the WorkPod, 35 dB on the Premium models (measured to ISO 11957) and up to 45 dB on Custom builds. For a sense of scale: 35 dB means a normal conversation is no longer intelligible a metre from the door.

Decibels are a logarithmic scale — every 10 dB is roughly a halving of perceived loudness. 25 dB damps speech noise for everyday calls. 35 dB makes a conversation unintelligible outside the booth, which is the working standard for confidential meetings. Up to 45 dB (Custom) covers loud environments and the strictest confidentiality requirements.

Yes. The Premium models are measured to ISO 11957, the international standard for the sound insulation of booths. We supply the test reports with the quotation on request.

The price follows the insulation class and the size: the Lite range (25 dB) starts at 3 790 €, Premium models at 35 dB start at 4 790 €, and Custom builds up to 45 dB are costed individually. Ask for a quotation and you will have prices, quantities and delivery within one working day.

Our booths are designed for offices, reception areas and administrative rooms on production sites — they are not machine enclosures. For meeting areas in noisy surroundings we recommend Custom models up to 45 dB: they create a quiet, confidential space even next to a production floor.

Yes, and it is part of the acoustic design: SMART ventilation changes the air every 2–3 minutes with fan noise under 30 dB. Acoustic silencers on the ducts stop sound escaping through the airflow path.

No. The booth is standing in about two hours — no drilling, no dust, no planning permission. A 220 V socket is enough; ventilation and LED lighting are already built in.

From a booth for one (Solo, WorkPod), through cabins for two (Duet), up to a soundproof meeting room for four (Quartet). Every size comes in both the 25 dB Lite and the 35 dB Premium specification.

Up to 10 years, staged by component: 10 years on the structure and frame, 5 years on electronics and lighting, 3 years on moving parts and ventilation.

Yes. The booth can be dismantled, transported and reassembled at the new address — the multi-layer panels and seals keep their measured values. It simply moves with your office, as booths in 30+ countries already have.
